Our Goal: Great groups and thriving Christians encourage a deepening relationship with God and relationships of Integrity with other people.
At St John’s, a connection focus uplifts the importance of worship, prayer, and fellowship in our everyday lives. Connect means to be in vital relationship with God, other believers, the church, and our family. It reminds us of the priority of building positive, long-lasting relationships with people at work, in the school and community, and at home.
As we connect first with God, He makes it possible for us to build meaningful relationships with other believers; they, in turn, help us connect to a church family. These interconnected relationships enable us to welcome people who are not yet part of our church or who on a journey of faith.
St John’s encourages every member to connect with God and others every day. We run a number of regular activities to help us work together on connecting to new people. These include events such as Gingerbread house making, onsite picnics, Chinese new year, movie nights and much more (See Website & Facebook page)
This is the most important commandment,’ Jesus answered:
‘Listen, Israel! The Lord our God, The Lord is One.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
The second is: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.’
