Privacy and Church Community Builder Database (CCB)
North Ryde Anglican is implementing a new church database management system called ‘church community builder’ (CCB). The management system is used by thousands of churches worldwide and in Australia.
North Ryde Anglican takes your privacy seriously and we want you to be in control of the data stored by our church. We also want to allow our community to connect with each other.
CCB default privacy settings have been set so that nobody (Except for church staff) can access phone number or addresses. Of course, participants are free (and encouraged) to change the level of accessibility to data as outlined in the tutorials on the CCB site, or to ask for your data to be removed from the system which will mean that our church no longer maintains your name or details.
We believe that CCB offers the highest level of data security possible (higher than our existing onsite database hosted on our church network).
We are exploring the functionality of CCB. We hope that it will streamline community activities and enhance our systems for registration and promotion of our programs. It allows for community planning, information and discussion beyond other social networking sites (E.g. facebook).
If you would like to discuss this further or have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact our office on 9878 3974
